Kim (Allen) , as I told you on the phone yesterday, I cannot praise Homemades by Suzanne enough--ordering and transporting food for an out-of-town wedding brunch was stressful for me, but the way the order was handled, packaged, and promptly ready for pick up was reassuring. The 30 guests in Virginia Beach raved about the food, and it was indeed far better than that of the wedding reception (and note that the rather particular bride was extremely fond of her reception caterer). People ate everything, and it was a smashing success. Your business should be so proud not only of the quality of your food but also the care for customers--I was a nervous wreck, frankly, but armed with the excellence of Homemades by Suzanne, all was very very well. Thank you a million!!!!

Through the years I have visited Suzanne's whenever in the area. Always impressed with the freshness, taste and presentation of their offerings. I recently ordered a dessert tray for a luncheon I was attending and I finally met Suzanne! She sat down with me and helped me make a decision on what to chose. I chose carrot cake and cheese cake cupcakes and lemon squares. Suzanne was very thoughtful and helpful. When I left the shop, it was more like I had been visiting a friend! When I picked up my order, it was presented on a covered platter and looked very inviting. Everyone at the luncheon enjoyed the cupcakes and lemon bars and wanted to know where I had gotten them. If you have never tried this little Ashland nugget, you should. You don't know what you are missing!

Homemades by Suzanne is the kind of place that makes you feel at home...when you’re not at home or you are living in your home away from home. This was the case for my daughter during the last four years while she was a student at Randolph Macon. She could always cross the tracks and treat herself to a tuna salad sandwich with angel hair pasta salad (Sometimes with a gift card that was tucked in her Christmas stocking or in her Valentine card or Easter basket or in a Good Luck on Exams note!) and almost feel like she was home...because of the deliciousness. YOU can make an ordinary type of lunch extraordinary...must be your Super Power at Suzanne’s! Even though she graduated from RMC in June and has left Ashland, two things are certain... 1. Once a Yellow Jacket, always a Yellow Jacket! 2. When she rides into Ashland throughout the years as a YJ alumnus, she will surely be looking forward to her (your!) tuna salad sandwich on a white roll (with that angel hair pasta salad on the side)... You and your staff at Homemades by Suzanne were absolutely amazing throughout the wedding planning process and during our Fredericksburg wedding on October 6, 2018. We were astounded with the incredible service, delicious (and warm!) food and the friendly staff. It was such a blessing to have you all part of our day. We continually were complimented for our caterer by several guests and all truly enjoyed their interactions with you all. We are grateful for your service and we are so glad we worked with you for our wedding day!

Thank you again for the wonderful connection we had planning the food for my son’s Richmond reception September 30th.
Everything was delicious and your team’s food added the most important touch to our lovely Airbnb!
Also, I wanted you to know my husband took me by your “real” place in Ashland as we traveled to NOVA the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
It was a bustling place and you were not there:( but I wanted you to know we loved it and had a great lunch. Then, my husband could not resist buying a whole quiche that the family enjoyed for several days……still moist & delicious days later. As you can tell, we’re fans of you & your food. We will happily recommend you to others!

"Great Food. The Cream Puffs are to die for. Don't let the eclectic atmosphere fool you. The food is amazing. The homemade rolls are wonderful. The crab cake sandwich is excellent. But the desserts will change your life if not your waste line. Hopefully you stop by on the day they've made cream puffs. You will never think of Ashland the same again."

"Helped to plan a trip to washington DC for 52 people and needed a quick stop on the way home to Virginia Beach that would provide a nice box lunch/dinner. Homemade by Suzanne was the perfect choice. Great selection, sides coordinated with particular sandwiches, dessert included, too. My group especially enjoyed the homemade bread on the sandwiches. Beautifully boxed, ready to go when our bus stopped by. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys being 'outside the box'. Fabulous staff to work with. And, the town of Ashland looked worthy of a second glance, too. Enjoy!"

"We always try to avoid the chain restaurants, a real challenge when traveling on busy interstates. We hit the jackpot as we exited I-95 in Ashland, VA, south of Richmond.
The quaint little railroad town is home to Homemades by Suzanne, a throwback to the lunch counter era. The cook staff serves a variety of home made delights from behind a busy counter. Both members of our party enjoyed freshly prepared chicken salad sandwiches. Sides and beverage selections were also wonderful."

"Perfect Homemade food - Suzanne's is an easy walk from the house and always a special treat for a delicious freshly made lunch. We walked down last week with our grandchild and had one of their lunch specials. They are child friendly with food choices and high chairs. They are friendly and helpful and every order is made based on your preference. Delicious food and comfortable surrounds are what you get when visiting Homemades by Suzanne!!
